The Perfect Summer Dress
Dress: Lupsona | Shoes: Aldo
I found my new favorite summer item: wrap dresses! These dresses are honestly the most convenient and flattering type of dress to throw on -- mainly because you can adjust it to fit your curves (or loosen it if you have a food baby). You might recognize this item from my latest Buy or Don't Try review, and while I didn't have the best experience with that store, I did come out victorious with this gem.
The ruffles (which aren't usually my jam) give it a feminine touch and the polka dots give it a playful feel. I chose to forego the heels and keep it casual making it the perfect attire for a summer night stroll or a daytime museum date.
Now, let's get into the color of this piece. Though the color yellow for summer is not a new thing, it seems to have nestled it's way into a color trend this season. You can find monochromatic looks that once seemed excessive being sported on runways, models and influencers alike. Don’t even get me started on how well it complements darker skin tones. Apparently used as the color to describe Gen Z, people are no longer shying away from this vibrant tone and girl, I'm all the way here for it.
