Mid-Year Check In

It's already June and I'm shook. The older I get the faster time seems to fly by--I don't exactly know how I feel about that. Being somewhat of a perfectionist, I tend to overlook the little wins I make throughout the year, so I've decided to reflect on a few things I've done that make me proud.

1. Started a web series called Off the Record

In February, I finally made my dreams a reality and launched a series! The concept for Off the Record came to me during my last year of grad school and it was one that I sat on for some time because I was scared. Eventually, I gathered up the courage to put myself out there and I love how it's coming together.

2. I got my first job in Fashion PR

After interning for so long, I finally landed a public relations job in fashion! It was something that I started working toward in 2014 and it finally happened. Yes, the process to find the right job was grueling but I'm a firm believer that what's meant for you will come to you.

3. Launched a production company with my roomies

What do you get when a videographer, graphic designer and PR professional step into a room? You get Always On Media, a production company run by three millennial women who highlight up-and-coming talent.

4. I Went Completely Bald

This was something I never thought would happen, but I'm so glad it did. I can't even explain how liberating it feels.
