How to Deal With Being Sick During the Holidays

So...blogmas in't going exactly as I planned. Why? Because I'm sick and sitting down to write a blog post each night just wasn't so appealing while dealing with coughs, headaches, sneezes and sniffles. I'm a little sad that I'm days behind on content but I'll keep pushing on until Christmas.

Thankfully, through the haze of watery eyes, an idea formed. Why not write a post on what I've been doing to cope with a terrible cold during the most wonderful time of the year? So, here goes.

Sidenote: This post has been brought to you by Spotify's Get Turnt playlist. It's exactly what I needed to keep me turnt enough to write this post. Lord knows all I want to do is sleep.

1. Go Ham on the Vitamin C

As soon as you feel a slight tickle in your throat, an itch in your nose or a sneeze coming on, start chugging anything with Vitamin C in it. My go-tos  have been Emergen-C, orange juice and shots of lemon juice. Yes, I said shots. This isn't a game!

2. Watch Your Favorite Disney Movies

For some reason, when I'm sick it's like I've regressed to a needy child and all I want is my mom. Since I'm already in this needy, child-like state, busting out my favorite family movies always seems to help. See below for a list of my favorites.

3. Stay Hydrated

You'll be running to the bathroom every 30 minutes but at least you'll be replenishing the fluids your body lost.

4. Listen to Your Favorite Christmas Songs

You may feel like death but that doesn't mean you have to stop getting in the Christmas spirit.  Listen to this playlist of Christmas classics below.

Sleep will be your best friend. I mean, you're exhausted anyway. Your body is working overtime to get you up and running again. Just grab your favorite blanket, fluff your pillow and let Mr. Sandman bring you a dream.

Well, I'm off to bed. And to all my sick friends out there, get well soon!

How do you cope with being sick during the holidays?
